Audi India sold 11,192 units in 2015 (PY 10,851 units) to report 3.14% sales growth. Sales performance marks the 8th successive year of growth in India with 10 product launches through 2015. In spite of growth, Audi India loses the title of country’s largest luxury car maker after two years.
Joe King, Head, Audi India says the company has remained focused towards its aim to provide the best luxury car buying experience to customers. Launches in India included the new Audi TT Coupe, limited edition Audi R8 LMX, A6 Matrix, RS 6 Avant, Audi S5 Sportback, and new-gen Q7.
Through Audi Mobile Terminal, the luxury car manufacturer brought its showroom experience to customers in tier II and tier III cities, regions that offer growth potential for the luxury car market. Audi India is keen in about introducing technologically advanced new vehicles to support sustainable growth. Audi is confident about a continued growth path in 2016 and beyond in India.
Sales growth has been supported through new dealerships. Inaugurations in 2015 include Audi Bengaluru Central, and a dealership each in Ranchi, Madurai and Rajkot, and Guwahati.

Audi has started 2016 with its first luxury car showroom in Thane, the seventh in Maharashtra. Audi Thane is the company’s biggest workshop in Mumbai region with a capacity of servicing 40 cars each day. The state grows as an important business hub with increased demand for luxury cars. Audi Thane showroom was inaugurated by Joe King, Head, Audi India and Gautam Modi, Dealer Principal (Krishiv Motors Pvt Ltd).
