Customers can book new vehicles, arrange for doorstep deliveries and schedule service of vehicles via Audi India’s online portal
The coronavirus rages on and automakers in the country are now entering the age of digitization. Every automaker in the country is turning to this form of sales and service. Though the lockdown is being lifted in parts, the COVID-19 pandemic is showing no signs of abating and the new norms of social distancing is what are likely to keep buyers away from showrooms.
While factories get into production mode on skeletal staff with a host of safety measured in place, buyers visiting showrooms in the same numbers as was seen in the past is a distant dream. It is to stir up some sales that most automotive brands are resorting to online sales, offering buyers the option to book test rides, make booking and complete all necessary paperwork via the online portal with doorstep delivery promised without any visit to showrooms.

Luxury car maker Audi India has also introduced online sales and service initiatives with online bookings via the Audi website www.audi.in or can purchase Audi merchandise via Audi Shop (www.audiindia.in/audishop).
Buyers can view all features and configure their vehicles according to their preference and explore a range of finance options along with placing their order, all from the comforts of their homes. The 360 degree Product Visualizer allows customers to explore every product detail. Once the model is selected and paper work is completed, deliveries are effected via select dealerships in the area and a payment link will be sent to the customer on the authenticated payment gateway for secure payment.
Apart from sales, Audi customers can also make service bookings online. They can opt for doorstep pick up and drop facility thereby significantly reducing their contact with service personnel. Customers will be offered timely service status updates and online payments can be made on completion.
Audi’s sales and service personnel have to ensure that all facilities such as dealerships and workshops are cleaned and sanitized twice a day. This will include sanitization of all touch points, furniture and workstations. All those entering will be subjected to thermal scanning and every person will have to wear gloves and masks and strictly maintain a 6 feet physical distance at all times.
Audi India has also introduced a first in segment feature wherein customers can scan the QR Code from any hand held devices to experience the Audi product range in Augmented Reality. Images of the Audi in their personal environment can be posted on the company’s Twitter and Instagram page with #AudiShowroomInEveryRoom. Virtual Reality (VR) allows buyers of Audi Q8 and A8L to personalize their vehicles in a way that was never seen before.
