audi india oct 2013 salesIndia’s largest luxury car seller this year, Audi has seen considerable increase in sales during the auspicious season of Dusshera and Diwali. With this marked increase in sales, the company has surely on the road to achieving their goal of becoming the first luxury auto maker in the country to cross 10,000 units of total sales in the year. Taking total sales for the period January to October 2013, Audi India sold a total of 8,393 units as compared to 7,267 units in the same period of 2012. This resulted in an increase of 15.4% YoY.

“With this remarkable performance in the month of October, we have moved within striking distance of our goal, of becoming the first luxury car manufacturer in India to cross sales of 10,000 units in a calendar year. While the market conditions continued to be challenging, we persisted with our focus on enhancing our product offering, growing a high quality network and introducing some very innovative service and finance offerings, most of which have become benchmarks in the industry. The success of these actions is reflected clearly in our sales. Surpassing our targets month after month in a demanding economic environment bears testimony to the products, dealer partners and the team we have but most importantly this success is due to the strength of the brand and the equity it enjoys among auto enthusiasts and customers alike” said Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India.

Audi India continues to strive towards its goal despite challenging market conditions. The company has enhanced their product offerings and is expanding their network within the country with a plan of reaching 34 dealerships from the existing 29 by the end of this year. The company had opened new showrooms in South Mumbai, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar and Delhi Central earlier this year while the month of October saw new dealerships inaugurated in Karnal, Haryana and Vadodara, Gujarat.
