Close to the heels of Audi opening the world’s largest showroom in Dubai which opened its doors on December 3rd, the auto major has opened the first LEED certified dealership in the US. The Dubai facility Al Nabooda Automobiles, official dealers for Audi in Dubai and Northern Emirates was inaugurated at Audi Terminal Dubai. It spans 15,000 sq meters across 6 levels and has 57 Audi cars on display
Now, Audi of America in association with LAcarGUY opens their new dealership in Torrance, CA which will be the greenest of showrooms and will be the first to be LEED Gold certified. The showroom will aim at a higher level of energy efficiency, reduced water usage and will promote and advocate the use and reuse of eco friendly materials and discourage wastage. This new showroom will be largest Audi showroom in United States and will be first to achieve LEED Gold certification.
LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environment Design is internationally recognised green building certification meeting the standards of US Green Building Council where design, construction and operations are concerned. Audi has ensured that their new facility is fitted with highly energy efficient water fixtures, low energy lighting facilities and a 45 kW DC Solar PV system.
