Audi Q3 and A7 to get RS variants next year


Audi Q3, the compact SUV that first appeared in April 2011 is set to get RS variant along with the Audi A7 Sportback for upcoming 2013 model year which has already caused some cheer among sports car aficionados and speed loving car buyers alike.

Audi RS 7 Sportback might be on display at the Detroit Motor Show in January next year, where it will be seen with a twin turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 engine as seen in the RS6 Avant offering 552hp. The A7 RS will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 304 kmph.

Q3 Concept with RS badging was already viewed at Beijing Auto Show earlier this year while the upcoming production version will be powered by a TT RS 2.5 liter turbocharged inline five. With its new engine update, the Q3 will be capable of offering 335 hp and acceleration time of 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100 kmph along with a top speed of 265 kmph.
