Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 get Performance package

2016 Audi RS7 Performance Edition

Audi RS6 Avant Performance and RS7 Sportback Performance claims to be 0.2 seconds faster than standard RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback.

Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Performance Edition sees an increase in power and performance. Both powered by twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 direct injection petrol engine, which is now tweaked for peak power of 605 hp and 750Nm peak torque mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This when compared to standard RS6 and RS7, delivers 45 hp and 50 Nm more.

Thanks to the tweaked engine, 0 to 100 kmph sprint is now achieved in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than its standard counterparts. Top speed stands at 280 kmph in the RS6 and at 305 kmph in the RS7 Performance editions. CO2 emission figures are now at 223g/km in the RS6 Avant and at 221g/km on the RS7 Sportback.

Both the RS6/RS7 Performance versions feature sport suspension setup with Dynamic Ride Control and Dynamic Steering varying the steering ratio as per demand. RS6 and RS7 Performance receives an exclusive Ascari metallic blue exterior paint. Interiors are seen finished in matt titanium while both the Performance Editions receive distinctive Quattro logo on air inlet duct.

To go on sale across the US from November 2016, Audi RS6 Avant Performance and RS7 Sportback Performance will be priced from £86,000 (US$ 132,442/INR 85,90,850) and £91,600 (US$ 141,066/INR 91,54,541) respectively (excluding taxes).

Though both Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 were launched in India earlier this year, the Performance Edition variants are not expected to make their way into India.
