At the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show, German automaker Audi is displaying an array of performance oriented models. The Audi S1, S4 and S8 Plus highlight the VW-owned brand’s sporty credentials.
Audi S4
The Audi S4, the sporty derivative of the latest gen Audi A4, promises to offer performance of a sportscar without compromising even a bit on the practicality. Available in both Sedan and Avant (stationwagon) bodystyles, the S4 packs a very potent 3.0-litre TFSI turbocharged V6 petrol motor which dishes out 354 PS. The car can reach triple digit speeds from standstill in just 4.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph. The duo will go on sale this summer with a starting price of 61,150 Euros in Germany.
Audi S1
The S1 Sportback may be compact but sharp styling elements and a ferocious 231 PS 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine make it one hell of a hot hatchback. With a torque output of 370 Nm, the S1 has the ability to put several sportscars to shame on a drag strip. The hatchback receives 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, MMI infotainment system with foldable display above the centre console and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Audi S8 Plus

The S8 Plus which was unveiled at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show is a sportier version of Audi’s flagship luxury saloon. The performance credentials are highlighted by dark accents at strategic locations, S8 badge on the grille and V8 T badges on the front fenders. The car is powered by a monstrous 4.0-litre V8 twin turbo petrol engine which has 605 PS and 700 Nm of torque on tap. 0-100 kmph comes in 3.8 seconds while topspeed stands at 250 kmph (can be extended up to 305 kmph.
