Audi has experienced an impressive year in sales in the year of 2011 with 12 straight months of great performance making 2011 their best year yet for Audi in America in comparison to 101,629 vehicles sold in 2010. 2011 sales mark a sales growth of 15.7% over 2010. Audi has declared sales of an impressive 117,561 vehicles in 201, having sold 12,655 vehicles in December alone giving them a 20% profit across the model lineup. Having enjoyed a splendid year of sales in U.S. market, the year-end sales have claimed to have risen by 15.7% over 2010. Audi anticipates having a similar fortune waiting for them in 2012 as well, continuing with great momentum.In comparison to American sales figures of 101,629 vehicles, Audi sold 5,511 cars in the Indian auto market in 2011.
Sales volumes were garnered by C and D segment vehicles that attributed for 34% of the sales mix, and TDI® clean diesel sales were commendable. Audi holds a significant amount of the sales in the luxury market with exceptionally well manufactured vehicles. The company has recorded significant sales in the C and D segments. December 2011 marked sales growth of the technologically advanced Audi A6, Audi A7, and flagship A8 sedan.
As compared to 2010 December, A6 sales witnessed a 124% increase with 1,855 units sold. Sales growth for the A8 luxury sedan is recorded at 35% with 678 vehicles sold. The month also saw sales of 887 all-new Audi A7 four-door coupe vehicles.
