Audi SQ5 3.0L TFSI SUV is scheduled for debut at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Auto Show. This petrol engined SUV will sport a 3.0 liter twin turbocharged V6 TFSI engine offering 354 hp power and 470 Nm torque. The SUV model is specially designed to make its way into international markets such as United States, Canada, China, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Ukraine.
Though however, Europe will not be included in the list of countries where it is being launched. Europe will continue to receive the SQ5 with its TDI unit generating 308 hp power and 650 Nm torque. The new SQ5 TFSI will have acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds and a top speed 250 kmph. Fuel consumption is pegged at 8.5 lt/100 km (11.76 kmpl) while auto emissions are at 199 g/km. The figures for the SQ5 TDI stand at 5.1 seconds for 0-100 kmph, top speed 250 kmph and mileage 13.88 kmpl.
SQ5 TFSI will arrive in dealer showrooms across the US from the third quarter of 2013. Also on the cards is a face lifted Audi R8 and the new Audi RS5 cabriolet, which will be making their presence felt at the Detroit Auto Show 2013. There will be three R8 variants for the 2014 model year which will include R8 V8, R8 V10 and R8 V10 Plus. Sprint times will be 4.2, 3.4 and 3.3 seconds respectively while top speeds will be at 300, 314 and 315 kmph. For more information, scroll down.
