World’s most powerful diesel SUV Audi SQ7 spied testing in India undisguised

First launched in May 2016, the most powerful diesel SUV in the world has been spied testing in India.

A left hand drive variant of the new Audi SQ7 diesel performance SUV has been spotted testing in India. Based on the MLB – Evo Muli-material platform, the SQ7 is the most powerful diesel SUV in the world.

Priced from €89,900 in Germany, power comes from a new 4.0 liter diesel TDI engine which delivers 435 PS (429 HP) and 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) of torque. This engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission which delivers power to all four wheels. It sprints from 0-100 kmph in 4.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Exteriors boast of a new chrome front grille in a hexagonal design flanked by LED headlamps. The new SQ7 will also sport lowered bonnet height giving the SUV a bolder and more aggressive stance. Sleek shoulder lines and flared wheel arches will also add to its appeal while at the rear, exhaust pipes shape is quadrilateral.

Audi Q7’s state of the art infotainment system can be controlled via 10.1 inch tablets. These tablets are powered by Android OS and are wirelessly connected to the car. This gives rear seat passengers access to control the car’s system, from the comfort of their seats.

It is not clear whether the new SQ7 will be launched in India or it is being tested for collecting data. In the past many VW Group cars have been spied on test in India. When we asked about the same to VW officials, they stated that it is being done as a global exercise, to collect as varied data as possible which helps VW Group do deliver better cars.
