The 2012 Motorcycle Expo is scheduled to take place from November 23rd to 25th, 2012 at Melbourne, Australia. Even though still in initial stages, a host of top two wheeler manufacturers have shown their keen interest in taking part in this event and showcasing their wares.
Companies like Honda, Kawasaki, BMW Motorrad, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Harley Davidson, Hyosung, KTM, Ducati and Moto Guzzi are among the marquees that will be present at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre proudly displaying their two wheeler motorcycles to an expected record breaking audience.
135 exhibitors are expected to take part in these events and their early response is looked upon as a promising sign. Momentum is building up with major motorbike manufacturers already confirming their attendance and site sales are expected to hit 75% even at this early stage which only goes to show the growth and keenness of this two wheeler segment. Besides auto manufacturers, parts manufacturers, accessories suppliers and service suppliers are also keen to possess stalls at this event, while motorbike manufacturers will also showcase their upcoming models ahead of 2013 releases.
Mr Mark Petersen, Event Manager, said, “For site sales to hit 75% at this stage is a great achievement, it shows that the industry is well and truly behind the event which is set to be the biggest we have ever staged. The confirmation of the major manufacturers will ensure we can provide visitors with the greatest range of bikes possible. Behind the Phillip Island Moto GP and World Superbikes, the event is the third-largest on the Australian motorcycle calendar, and offers a great chance for the industry to reach an enthusiastic public. A large range of accessories, after-market products and service suppliers have also signed on, adding to the variety and choice.”
