Automotive Engineering Show (AES) 2014 showcases not just the latest in tech, but also sets itself up as a platform for interaction with experts. AES has collaborated with experts and hosts a ‘Technology Zone’ where professionals will hold interactions on specific technology lines and manufacturing modernisation strengthening expertise within the Indian automobile industry.

India Automotive Engineering ShowA learning center will cover concepts of Plant management systems and Metrology Centre focuses on conceptual understanding of modern measurement systems. Specialists from Voith Industrial Services, RMM Consulting and Asia Automation will be in attendance at the ‘Learning Centre’. Guidance will be offered on automation within the automotive industry, plant monitoring systems, production equipment maintenance and vibration analysis.

In manufacturing plants, inline measuring systems offer better resource management, improve communication on the shopfloor, reduction in documentation and interface with existing ERP/SAP, thereby reducing waste. Specialists from Accurate Gauging and Renishaw Metrology will explain how the shift from inspection room to in-line measurements is affecting manufacturing set-ups. Indian auto-component industry targets being an USD 40 billion industry by 2015-16. This needs to be based on upgrades in manufacturing set-up and use of cost effective technologies.

Associate Partner Siemens PLM India will host sessions on Energy Savings with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation Solution. FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH will address those keen on improving business presence in the European market. Lean Manufacturing for Competitive Advantage, Automation in Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), How Training and Technical Mentoring contribute to cutting costs are sessions scheduled for day 2. AES trade fair will open doors from 29 – 31 May, 2014 at Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, Pune, India.
