The two new Discover variants in the 150 cc category from Bajaj are Discover 150 S and Discover 150 F. The former is now launched, while the latter is expected for a launch in the coming days, as it has already arrived at dealership.
Discover 150 F will be at the top of Discover range in India. It will have a fairing at the front, while 150 S is a naked version of 150 F, which is also India’s most affordable 150 cc motorcycle. Both 150F and 150S are designed for buyers in the commuter range, depicted by its long and flat seat. Both will come in with monoshock at the rear and telescopic front forks while its instrument cluster will continue with an odometer, tripmeter and fuel gauge.
Discover 150 S will be seen in an all black colour scheme for engine and chassis. Sharing a number of parts with sibling 150 F, 150S will receive wider rear tyre and will be offered in two variants, one of which will receive a drum brake in the front while the other will get a disc. 150 S will also get various body graphics, an analogue instrument console and ten spoke alloy wheels.
Engine specifications on board both 150 F and 150 S will be a new 150cc four valve DTS-I engine, capable of 14 PS peak power while being mated to five speed gearbox sending power to the rear wheel via drive chain.
Bajaj Discover 150 S is now available in Pune for an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 51,721 for the drum brake variant. Bookings have commenced, and deliveries will be made from 1st August 2014.
