Bajaj Auto finally confirmed today that the the name of their new brand is Dominar. The first bike under this brand will be called Dominar 400 and it will be launched in India on 15th December 2016. With launch getting near, excitement levels among fans and enthusiasts is on the rise.
The new Bajaj Dominar is based on the Pulsar CS400 near production concept which was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. The crucial difference is, the production model ditches the USD telescopic front fork in favour of a conventional telescopic unit.
The motorcycle adopts a semi-low slung stance to offer best of cruiser and motorcycle worlds. The riding position is upright and relaxed to appeal to touring enthusiasts. Feature highlights include LED headlamp cluster, fully digital instrument console with an auxiliary display on the fuel tank, meaty tyres, and instantly recognizable twin-LED taillights.
The 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor is derived from the KTM 390 family. The motor will benefit from Bajaj’s patented triple spark technology. The power output is estimated to be in the vicinity of 40 PS. Expect price to start from INR 1.5 lakh range.

Pune, 29th November 2016: Bajaj Auto today officially named its biggest and most powerful motorcycle as “Dominar 400”. The Dominar 400 shall be unveiled in India on 15th of December 2016. Dominar is a derivation from a Spanish word which means “to excel or exceed in power”.

The first Dominar 400 motorcycle was rolled out from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan Plant on 18th November.
