Bajaj Auto, one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in the country is all set to introduce their most powerful motorcycle till date – Bajaj Dominar 400. Ahead of official launch, the bike continue to make test runs on public roads.
During one such outing, a reader managed to shoot the new Bajaj Dominar while riding a Yamaha R3 last week. Now, a Bajaj Pulsar RS200 rider goes chasing the new big brother. Below is a brief video of the encounter.
Design inspired by Ducati Diavel, the new Bajaj Dominar features LED head lamps, LED tail lamps, LED side blinkers, mono shock rear suspension, liquid cooled FI engine with triple spark technology, disc brakes with dual channel ABS, split seats, two fully digital displays as instrument panel, and stylish new alloys.
Powering the Bajaj Dominar is a 373 cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine with FI. This is the same setup which is seen on the KTM 390 bikes. Power and torqur output of Dominar will be slightly different to that of KTM bikes as the Dominar is more of a tourer. It will be offered in two options – ABS and non ABS. Expect the price to range from INR 1.5 lakh to INR 1.8 lakh, ex-showroom.
Showcased as a concept back at the 2014 Auto Expo as Bajaj Pulsar CS400, where CS stands for Cruiser Sport, it is unclear what Dominar means. This answer will only be revealed once the bike is launched next month. Until then, have a look at a few spy shots of the Bajaj Dominar below-
