Bajaj June 2018 sales at 2,00,949 units – Grows 86% thanks to new motorcycles

Bajaj Auto Limited, two and three wheeler makers in India, have noted outstanding performance in June 2018. June sales were up 65% at 4.04 lakh units and the company noted the highest ever 3 wheeler sales during the month.

Total sales in June 2018 which stood at 4.04 lakh units was a 65% increase over total sales of 2.45 lakh units in June 2017. Taking only domestic sales in to account, sales jumped 85% to 2.34 lakh units while exported increased 44% to 1.70 lakh units.

Total motorcycle sales increased 65% from 2.04 lakh units sold in June 2017 to 3.37 lakh units in the past month. Domestic sales stood at 2,00,949 units, up 86% while exports increased 42% to 1,36,803 units.

Three wheeler sales created history with a sharp increase of 66% to 66,677 units with highest ever sales to date. This was against 40,211 units sold in June 2017. Domestic sales were up 78% from 18,866 units to 33,627 units in June 2018 while exports increased 55% from 21,345 units exported in June 2017 to 33,050 units exported in the past month.

Year to date sales of motorcycles also increased 33% from 7,75,714 units sold during the period April to June 2017 to 10,29,264 units in the same period of the current year. Domestic sales were up 39% from 4,26,562 units to 5,94,234 units during the same April to June period while exports increased 25% from 3,49,152 units exported during April to June 2017 to 4,35,730 units exported in the same period in 2018.

Likewise, sales of commercial vehicles increased 74% from 1,12,720 units sold from April to June 2017 to 1,96,677 units sold in the April to June 2018 period. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles increased 80% to 94,431 units while exports increased 69% to 1,02,246 units.
