Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS spied, gets perimeter frame and rear monoshock

First new Pulsar launch for 2015 turned out to be the flagship product for Bajaj Auto, not to mention several firsts in it, in the brand as well as the segment. There are a few more Pulsar variants slated for launch through this year, one of which is expected to be Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS spied specs
New spy shots of Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS have surfaced online, spied testing near Lonavla in Pune district.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS continues with lean tyres, air-cooled engine (no radiator present in test mule), and usual sized cylinder and head suggesting this is not Pulsar 180 AS. However, it gets the customary Adventure Sport headlamp with a projector light, split seats, and new generation alloy wheel & perimeter frame introduced in Pulsar 200 NS. Stopping the wheels will be disc brake upfront and drum unit at the rear. Front fork seems to be the same as the set in current Pulsar 150 DTS-i, but rear receives a monoshock unit.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS spied monoshock
The new Pulsar 150 variant gets monoshock at the rear.

Engine powering new Pulsar 150 AS could be based on the existing model, with new-gen enhancements like triple spark ignition. Fuel injection system is not seen or expected in 150 AS, CV carburettor will be supplying the air-fuel mixture.

Expect Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS to launch in around two months.
