Update: Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS production version showcased in Indonesia

Update 12 Feb 2015: Today, new images and video of Pulsar 200 SS has surfaced, once again credit to TMC Blog. The new images showcase the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS in a new colour option. This one features Black paint with golden stripes.

24 Jan 2015: More images from the recent Bajaj event taken place in Indonesia have emerged. Bajaj Auto showcased upcoming variants of new generation Pulsar family to select communities, which included Pulsar 400 CS (Cruiser Sport), Pulsar 200 SS (Super Sport) and Pulsar 200 AS (Adventure Sport). First two models were unveiled at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and are known to be in the pipeline for Turkey, India and similar markets where Bajaj plays a significant role. But the last one, the adventure tourer model has never been even whispered about before, in any public event or media report.

Given the increasing popularity for bigger bikes in the entry-level performance segment in India, such a model, Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS, would be a feast to enthusiasts here. It would satisfy people with either preference, naked as well as faired motorcycles, and the adventure tourer kind of styling along with mechanical tuning would be ideal for a comfortable stop-go city ride and a chilling weekend getaway, all at a ballpark price of around Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom). ABS variant is unlikely.

Meanwhile, the other Pulsar model bikers in India are eagerly waiting for is 200 SS, which will be the Indian two-wheeler maker’s first fully faired motorcycle, pitted against Yamaha R15, Honda CBR 150R and the like. Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS will get an ABS variant, probably priced at around Rs. 1.25 lakh, while the less safe model would be billed at about Rs. 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom). Bajaj Pulsar 400 CS could take some more time for market launch.
