Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS camouflaged spare parts on sale in a Mumbai’s Chor Bazaar
An old / used auto parts market in Kurla, Mumbai, was found to have some spares of yet to launch Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS hanging. It is probably the first store in the world to sell replacement parts for the model.
Kurla is renowned for black, white or whatever kind of spare parts for two-, three- or any-number wheelers. It is one of the best places to find the type of components that sometimes even Original Equipment Manufacturers won’t have stock of. But the market is usually a means to perform quick and cost effective repairs to cars and bikes, by walking up and down to find least damaged used part and buy it at a bargain with or without exchange offers.
Best guess is that the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS spare parts made it to the store just the same way the shops get ahold of other items they sell. One of the test mules could have met with an accident and broken / rendered-unsafe parts could have been disposed of as scrap to such vendors.
We wouldn’t be surprised if a Pulsar fan buys them to repaint and get it fitted on his bike, irrespective of the model he owns. Or, third party / compatible parts makers could buy these off to make replicas by the time Pulsar 200 SS launches.
