Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS in Red and White dual tone finish spotted on test in Colombia [Video]

Once again, the new Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has been spotted out in the wild. This time on the roads of Colombia. Showcased at a dealer-only meet in Turkey this October, it seems that Bajaj Auto is working on launching the new Pulsar 200 SS across several countries at the same time.

Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS design is very similar to the 400 SS concept, which was shown at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo at the start of this year.

To be manufactured at their plant in Pune, Pulsar 200 SS is a fully faired variant of the existing Pulsar 200 NS (SS standing for super sports, while NS standing for Naked Sports). Compared to the 200 NS, mechanically the SS variant will feature fuel injection and ABS, while price is expected to be in the range of Rs 1.15 lakhs – 1.20 lakhs.

Power will come from the same 199.5 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine, which is seen on the 200 NS. Max power remains same at 23.52 PS at 9500 rpm, and 18.3 Nm torque at 8000 rpm for the carburettor version, while FI version will deliver 1 PS more.

Apart from Blue/White, Red/White dual tone options, the new Pulsar 200 SS will also be seen in Yellow/White dual tone finish.

Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS launch has been awaited by fans for a long time. But with new spy shots pouring in regularly these days, it seems that the launch is near. On the other hand, paying no heeds to queries form fans, Bajaj Auto is yet to release any official information on the launch of this 200 NS sibling. All they have said is that one new Pulsar will be launched by March 2015.
