Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, KTM RC390, RC200 launch nears, spotted on test


Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, KTM RC 390m and KTM RC 200 among the most anticipated bikes to make their way in the near future have been spotted on test, close to Bajaj Auto Chakan Plant in Pune. Each of these bikes are slated for launch in the months and are to be produced from the Chakan plant.

Each of the three bikes spotted, are fully faired models, where it may be noted that both KTM RC390 and RC200 are based on Duke 390 and Duke 200 respectively, while 200SS is said to be based on Pulsar 200NS.

Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, KTM RC390, RC200 launch ahead, spotted on testMaking it into India sometime during 2014, Pulsar 200SS – Super Sport carries a similar design language as that of the SS400, which was showcased as a concept at 2014 Auto Expo. 200 SS is based on  200 NS platform and is expected to be powered by a fuel injected version of 199.5cc liquid cooled, single cylinder, four stroke engine producing approximately 23 bhp peak power and 18 Nm peak torque while mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Spotted earlier with clearer images, spy pics reveal ABS, alloy wheels at the rear and aluminum alloys at the fore besides disc brakes, split rear mud guards, full front fairing and new headlamps.

KTM RC 390 is a faired 390 Duke which was spotted with a fairing mounted windshield, clip on handle bars and split seats. Twin headlamps on the fairing, and revised tuning and ergonomics are the highlight of this bike which will have an engine offering peak power of 43 bhp. Launch could be around mid 2014, while that of KTM RC200 could also happen around this time. RC200 was seen with rigid trellis frame and high quality USD front forks while it could sport a DOHC 200cc engine offering peak power of 26 bhp.
