Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 teased

Will not feature ABS or fuel injection.

It’s hardly been 20 days since Bajaj Auto launched their all-new 200 cc Pulsar. Considering that the last 200 cc Pulsar variant was launched in June 2012, one would have expected a little bit of respite from Bajaj, before they launched another Pulsar. But that is not going to be the case, at least for a few more Pulsars.

India’s leading motorcycle exporter, Bajaj Auto will launch 200 AS or Adventure Sport tomorrow. The same has been teased by the company on their official Facebook page. Spied at dealerships already, bookings of Pulsar 200 AS have already commenced. For a sum of Rs 2-5,000 you can book one for yourself. Deliveries are set to commence from this week.

Pune based Bajaj Auto had organized the national launch of Pulsar RS200 in Mumbai, while that of AS 200 is going to take place in New Delhi. Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, who missed the Mumbai event, will be present at the launch tomorrow.

Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 entered production alongside RS200

Power to the Pulsar 200 AS will come from a 199.5 cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine, delivering 23.5 PS power and 18.3 Nm torque. These are the same output figures as that of Pulsar 200 NS (RS200 gets a slightly more power from the same engine). Other features which will be given a miss, includes ABS, and fuel injection system; which are on offer the Pulsar RS200.

We expect Bajaj Pulsar Adventure Sport to be priced in the range of Rs 1-1.05 lakhs. More details about the Pulsar 200 Adventure Sport variant will be revealed tomorrow. Until then, have a look at the leaked images of the motorcycle here.
