Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 Adventure Sport has arrived at Bajaj dealership before launch next week. This will be second Pulsar motorcycle launch in a span of about twenty days, the first being that of RS 200 on 26th March 2015.
Bajaj AS 200 Adventure Sport has been developed on the lines of KTM Adventure variants. Already unveiled in Indonesia earlier this year, Bajaj AS 200 Adventure Sport is based on the same platform as Pulsar 200 NS. The semi faired motorcycle is ideally suited for long distance travel with an upright riding position making it comfortable for longer journeys.
The AS 200 also sports raised handlebar for easy long distance riding. New features on board Bajaj AS200 Adventure Sport include a new headlamp assembly sporting a projector light and regular multi reflector light with pilot lamps at both top corners along with a fairly large windshield. Other on board features such as engine, swing arm, seating position, wheels, tyres, disc brakes and radiator will be akin to that seen on the 200NS.
Though we expected the AS 200 to get same engine specs as that of RS 200, Bikes India reveal that is not going to be the case. Engine specifications will be same as 200 NS. AS 200 gets a 199.5cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine which offers 23.52 PS power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm, mated to a 6 speed transmission. This also means that there will be no ABS and no Fuel Injection system as well.
With prices expected in the region of INR 1 lakh, Bajaj AS200 Adventure Sport slotted between Bajaj 200NS and new RS200.
