Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto took everyone by surprise when he launched the second Pulsar motorcycle of the day – Pulsar AS150. (First being the Bajaj Pulsar AS200).
Powered by an upgraded 150 cc single cylinder, which Bajaj claims is the most powerful in the segment (say hello to Yamaha R15’s 150cc engine); the new Pulsar AS150 is designed for those individuals who are go-getters in the life. Who work with full dedication during weekdays, but try even harder to get fun out of life during weekends.
New Bajaj Pulsar AS150 will take care of your Monday to Friday commute to office, no matter what the road condition is; while on weekends, it will be ready to take you on an adventure, no matter if there are roads or no roads.
This new 149.5 cc single cylinder 4 stroke, SOHC, 4valve, Air cooled, DTSi engine aboard AS150 delivers 17 PS power at 9500 rpm and 13 Nm torque at 7500 rpm via a 5 speed gearbox (same as regular 150). This is 2 PS and 0.5 Nm more than what the existing Puslar 150 delivers. For braking, AS150 gets 240mm disc in the front and 130 mm drum at the rear. Tyres in the front are 80/100/17″46 P Tubeless, while rear gets 110/80/17″ 57 P Tubeless.
Featuring semi-fairing in the front, very similar to the Pulsar 220, it houses a 55W low beam projector lamp and 55 W High beam MFR lamp. Weight of Pulsar AS150 is 143 kgs, while it has a ground clearance of 170 mm.
