Second TVC of Bajaj Pulsar AS200 has been released and this time, instead of showing scenic roads and a cliff, Bajaj wants to portray the semi faired motorcycle’s fun quotient by involving it in La Tomotina, a world famous festival involving tomatoes in Bunol, Spain.
Both Pulsar AS200 and AS150 created new touring segments within their respective displacement categories. Though the twins carry ‘Adventure’ in their name and adopt a quintessential adventure touring design with a tall front biased stance, chassis, suspension and tyres belong to a road bike.
Bajaj has positioned adventure series a versatile mode of transport which will feel equally at home whether you are commuting to office or embarking on a weekend escape. A tall windscreen, projector headlamp, relaxed upright riding stance and adequate power are the salient features.
Speaking of power, Pulsar AS200’s 199 cc single-cylinder carbureted liquid-cooled triple spark engine generates PS and 23.52 PS and 18.6 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 6-speed unit. Smaller Bajaj Pulsar AS150 uses a new 149 cc DTS-i engine which churns out a segment leading power output 17 PS and 13 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed transmission.
In addition to fully faired RS200 and semi faired AS series, Bajaj is gearing up to launch bigger AS400 and CS400 (Cruiser Sports) within this fiscal.
