Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo as a concept, the production ready variant of Bajaj Pulsar CS400 has been spied once again. This new spy shot clearly showcases the right rear quarter of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar, thereby revealing new details.
Heavily inspired by the concept, it seems that Bajaj has made every effort possible to make the prod-spec bike look like the concept, which was one of the most talked about motorcycle of the 2014 Auto Expo.
The fuel tank design, speedometer, instrument panel, handlebar, brakes, alloy wheels, pretty much all of is same as the concept. What is not same is the front forks and the seat. In the concept, Bajaj offered upside down forks, but in the prod-ready variant, that is not the case as it gets the regular front forks. Seat design too is changed slightly. Unlike the concept, the bike which will be launched, will feature split seats.
To be powered by a KTM Duke / RC 390 based engine, Pulsar CS400 once launched will be the most powerful and fastest Pulsar to have been launched till date. Aboard the KTM twins, which are tuned for performance, this engine delivers 44 PS and 35 Nm. Aboard the Pulsar 400, expected slightly lower figures as the bike will be tuned as a Cruiser Sport, and not an all-out performance / racing machine.
Highlights include LED strips in the headlight, LED taillight, disc brakes with ABS, Fuel injection, triple spark tech for high fuel efficiency, digital speedometer on the fuel tank along with a separate digital display unit at the regular place, wider tyres, new exhaust system, new alloys, etc.
