Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the most searched motorcycle of 2015 – Top 10 list

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was the most searched motorcycle on the Yahoo search engine for 2015. The flagship Pulsar is the first ever Pulsar with full fairing offered from Bajaj. Ergonomics inspired by a sportsbike, new Pulsar RS200 immediately managed to strike a chord with thousands of budding bikers who were looking either looking to buy their first motorcycle or upgrading from a 150cc. Aggressive price tag (starting from INR 1.02 lakh) also helped in attracting more buyers.

Honda Livo came in next among top 10 searched bikes on the internet. The Honda Livo in the commuter segment is seen as a top performer where fuel efficiency is concerned. Priced at INR 52,989, the Honda Livo was launched in October 2015 as a replacement to the CB Twister which could not garner sufficient interest in Indian markets.

Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 and Pulsar AS 150 were launched in the adventure sports segment. While the Pulsar AS200 is priced at INR 91,500, the AS150 is priced at INR 79,000 and have proved to be quite popular with prospective buyers searching the internet due to its performance and efficiency.

The facelifted Bajaj Avenger Street/Cruise 220 stood out in power and performance while overall looks too were revamped. The bike has contributed efficiently to company sales while its popularity can be gauged by its online search numbers.

Mahindra Mojo is available in India at a price of INR 1.7 lakh. It receives a 296cc engine and has appealed to the younger and more adventurous buyers in the country. Mojo’s success helped Mahindra push sales over the 19,000 mark in November 2015.

Yamaha YZF-R3 was the winner of the Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2016 award. Powered by a 320cc engine, the bike has competed efficiently with others in the entry level performance segment that includes KTM RC390 and Kawasaki’s Ninja 300.

Bajaj CT100 priced at INR 35,034 was the most popular commuter bike from Bajaj Auto Limited. It received a makeover in 2015 and the company announced sales of over 1.5 lakh bikes in 100 days of launch.

The premium looking Suzuki Gixxer SF is priced in India between INR 88,600 and INR 90,200. It is its performance, handling, comfort and efficient 150cc engine besides the fact that it won several awards during the past year, which has made it a popular buy in the country.

Scrambler – The newest and most in demand Ducati today.

Ducati Scrambler is powered by an 803cc L twin engine and borrows design cues from the original Ducati Scrambler of 1962. The most affordable bike in the company lineup, the Scrambler is priced at INR 6.62 lakhs and has seen immense response among netizens.

Last but by no means least, Yamaha Saluto also featured on the list of top 10 bikes searched on the internet during 2015. Launched in April 2015, the Saluto is offered in two variants – Standard and Disc Brake and in 6 attractive color options.
