Benelli has gone all out at the Auto Expo to showcase the breadth of its portfolio. The BX 250 supermotard would create a new segment in India if the company decides to launch it here. The 250 cc bike adopts minimal bodywork, high-mounted seat, and diminutive headlamp and taillight.
The tall yet compact quarter litre motorcycle is powered by a 249 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is good for 25 PS at 9,000 rpm and 20 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
A 50 mm long travel USD front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock handle the suspension duties while a 280 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc are in charge of braking.
