Benelli Imperiale 400 is a retro style motorcycle that has been launched in India. With deliveries now started, Benelli aims to increase their market share with this new motorcycle. Priced from Rs.1.69 lakhs, the company has received more than 400 bookings. This is the highest booking received for any Benelli motorcycle in India.

Benelli Imperiale 400 is presented in three colours of Red, Black and Silver. It is positioned on a double cradle frame and gets a halogen headlight, semi digital instrument console, tear drop shaped tank and a black finished exhaust with chrome accents.

Benelli Imperiale 400 measures 2,170mm in length, 820mm in width and 1,120 mm in height (including rear view mirrors) with a wheelbase of 1,440 mm and seat height of 780mm. Ground clearance stands at 165mm while kerb weight is at 205 kgs and fuel tank is of 12 liter capacity.

The Imperiale 400 is powered by a 373.5 cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke, air cooled, SOHC engine delivering 21 PS power at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 29 Nm at 4,500 rpm mated to a 5 speed gearbox. Suspension is via 41mm telescopic fork in the front and preload adjustable dual spring at the rear.

Braking includes a 300mm disc in the front and 240mm disc at the rear while dual channel ABS is offered as standard. The bike rides on 19” front and 18” rear wheels fitted with 110/90 and 130/80 section tubed tyres.

The company is also offering a 3 year/unlimited warranty on the Imperiale 400 as standard with complimentary service for the first 2 years along with an Annual Maintenance Contract. Benelli claims that this is the best in class warranty and after sales service provided by any other brand in the segment.

The new Benelli motorcycle rivals with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which is priced at Rs.1.54 lakhs and the Jawa Classic that is priced at Rs.1.73 lakhs. It also rivals the Jawa Forty Two which carries a price tag of Rs.1.64 lakhs. All prices are ex-sh.

The new Benelli Imperiale 400 is open for bookings at a down payment of Rs.4,000 via the company’s website india.benelli.com or at the nearest Benelli India dealerships. Deliveries of Benelli 400 have started in India.
