Benelli Imperiale 400 prices increased to Rs 1.79 L – Rs 10k hike

Imperiale 400 in silver is priced at Rs 1.79 lakh, while the red and black coloured bike now carries a price tag of Rs 1.89 lakh.

When Benelli introduced to Imperiale 400 last year, it was aggressively priced at Rs.1.69 lakhs. This was an introductory price and now the company has hiked prices by Rs.10,000. This new pricing varies according to the colour of the motorcycle. The silver coloured Benelli Imperiale 400 priced at Rs.1.79 lakhs while its red and black colour scheme is priced at Rs.1.89 lakhs. All prices are ex-sh.

Benelli Imperiale 400 which competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa’s is set to be BS6 compliant ahead of the 1st April 2020 deadline. The retro cruiser will continue to be powered by a fuel injected, single cylinder, SOHC, four stroke, air cooled engine offering 20 bhp power at 5,500 rpm and 29 Nm torque at 4,500 rpm. In its BS6 format it will receive a new catalytic converter and may see some changes in power figures while torque will remain unchanged.

Apart from the BS6 upgraded engine, the Benelli Imperiale 400 will see no change in features or design. It will continue with its vintage styling with a rounded front headlamp and teardrop shaped fuel tank of 12 liter capacity. It will sport dual channel ABS and spoked rims with 19″ front and 18″ rear wheels fitted with 100/90 and 130/80 section tubed tyres.

Braking is via 300mm disc front with a two piston floating caliper and 240mm rear disc with a single piston caliper. The Benelli Imperiale 400 measures 2,170mm in length, 820mm in width and 1,120mm in height with a 1,440 mm long wheelbase. Kerb weight is at 205 kgs while seat height is at 780 mm and ground clearance at 165mm.

Benelli has plans to launch the Leoncino 800 in India. This bike was also unveiled at the 2019 EICMA Show last year. It is powered by a 754cc, parallel twin engine offering 81.6 PS power and 67 Nm torque. It could get a price tag from Rs.7-7.50 lakhs, ex-sh. Benelli will also introduce the TRK 251, which will be powered by the same engine that powers the Leoncino 250. It gets a 249cc, single cylinder engine. The TRK 251 could be priced around Rs.2.80 lakhs and could launch in India sometime by mid 2020.
