Bentley has released a behind the scenes video summarizing the making of its first ever SUV, the Bentley Bentayga. The world’s most powerful and fastest production SUV has started off strongly (sold out completely for the first year of production).
First example of the stately SUV has been inducted into the fleet of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. The company also introduced the Bentayga First Edition with distinguish elements with a limited production run of 608 units.
The video says, “To make extraordinary, you need extraordinary people”, and summarizes the development and production of the Bentayga including the sketching process, clay modelling, handcrafting interior elements, final assembly and shooting promo video.
The flagship Bentley is powered by a 6.0-litre W12 petrol engine which dishes out a highly impressive 608 PS and 900 Nm of torque. 0-100 kmph comes in a scant 4.1 seconds. The Bentley Bentayga is the only production SUV in the world to breech the 300 kmph top speed mark (301 kmph to be precise).
The Bentayga’s stupendous sales success is sure to prompt may other high-end car makers to come up with their own high riding automobiles. Rolls Royce has already confirmed that it’s working on a SUV and Lamborghini Urus too received the go ahead form the board.
