Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar make their presence at the Qatar Motor Show
Qatar Motor Show kicked off earlier today in style for media and VIP’s. For the general public, Qatar Motor Show will open its doors from the 25th to 28th January 2011. Qatar Motor Show is taking place in the city of Doha’s Exhibition Center, where the biggest names in the automobile industry will make their present felt over the next few days.
Bentley showcased their Continental GTC Convertible for the first time ever at the Qatar Motor Show. Powered by the 6.0L W12, the all new Continental GTC Convertible took the center stage. Mr Alasdair Stewart, Sales & Marketing, Member of Board, Bentley Motors said, “We are delighted to be here in Qatar with the new GTC. It has always been the most emotional model in the Continental range and a showcase for Bentley design. With its tailored soft top, the GTC is a pure British convertible true to those classic Bentleys of the past. However, the technology, performance and overall design excellence invested in this model means that we are now writing a new chapter for the Bentley convertible driver.”
Earlier in the day, as a prelude to the Qatar Motor Show, Ferrari gave a special treat to auto enthusiasts in Doha. Former Ferrari test driver, Mr Marc Gene drove a Ferrari Formula One car along the Corniche. During his stint, Mr Gene easily surpassed speeds of 300 kmph. The event was organized in association with Shell.
After the drive, Mr Gene said, “I really enjoyed the audience’s excitement at today’s street demonstration. The technical partnership with Ferrari provides Shell with the perfect ground to test the performance of lubes and fuels under extreme conditions.”
Jaguar too is making their presence felt at the Qatar Motor Show. Alfardian Premier Motors, who is also the exclusive distributor and importer of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in Qatar, will showcase the entire 2012 range of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles at the Qatar Motor Show. Jaguar cars to be displayed include XF, XK, XJ, and XKR-S while Land Rover cars include, LR2, LR4, Range Rover, RR Sport, and Evoque.

In special focus will be the Range Rover Evoque which has received a fantastic reaction from our customers so far and this is a great opportunity to see firsthand why this vehicle has gained over 55 international accolades so far.”
French car maker, Bugatti will also be present at the Qatar Motor Show with the world’s fastest production car, Veyron Grand Sport. Specially for the Qatar Motor Show, Bugatti have brought a customized Veyron Grand Sport which has two tone color scheme. At the center, you will be able to see black carbon, even the seats, steering wheel, dash, gearshift is in black with yellow stitching.
