Bentley was busy this last weekend at Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance giving select audience a look of what they can expect from the new Mulsanne Convertible as it heads into production. The upcoming model will in all probability utilize the same power train as Mulsanne sedan and will include a 6.8 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine offering a maximum of 505 hp at 4200 rpm and 752 lb/ft torque at 17500 rpm.
The vehicle should weigh about 5700 lbs and will have an acceleration time of 5.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. Mulsanne Convertible concept is two doors short of its sedan sibling and has a fixed roof structure as well, but retains its tapered tail and rear fender forms. It will be the most sophisticated of convertibles and will provide better performance and refined driving experience while being comfortable enough for upto 4 adults.
Its cabin design is luxurious with high class and high the features directly appealing to its new class of high end customers. Since sketches of the Mulsanne Convertible concept made it presence felt at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, it is highly probable that the actual concept model at one of the upcoming international auto shows very soon.
