Bentley may have smaller SUV in the pipeline after Bentayga
When Bentley first unveiled that EXP 9 F concept at 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the product did not receive favourable comments from public as well as the media. After which Bentley brought in ex-Lamborghini design head, Luc Donckerwolke, to lead the design team.
New model is not revealed yet, only teasers are being outed. Production version could debut at 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
According to the company, the full-size SUV is already a hit, as 4,000 people have expressed interest in purchasing once it launches even though none of them have seen the car yet.
It is possible that above case served as an encouragement for the company to expand their horizon and step into other high riding segments. Wolfgang Dürheimer, CEO of Bentley Motors Limited, mentioned that the company is thinking about adding new models to the portfolio and one of them could be a smaller crossover.
Said new models are expected to boost company’s sales charts. New annual sales target is 20,000 units by 2020, which is double compared to 2014. Last year, sales rose by 9 percent to 11,020 units.
