Hero, Honda, TVS and Bajaj continue to lead the Indian two wheeler industry.

Honda Activa was the only scooter on the list of top 10 selling two wheelers in FY 14-15. Sales increased 30% for the period between 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2015.

During this period, a total of 21,78,227 units over 16,74,178 units sold in the same period in the previous year. As per reports submitted by Society of Indian Automobiles Manufacturers, other two wheelers on the list included the Splendor, Passion, HF Deluxe and Glamour all from Hero MotoCorp, commanding 1st, 3rd, 4th and 8th positions.

However, none of the company’s scooter models made it to this top 10 list. Hero Splendor topped the charts with 25,17,189 units sold in the past fiscal as against 22,65,676 unite sold in the previous fiscal, an increase of 11.1%. Hero Passion sales dipped marginally while sales of HF Deluxe increased from 10,33,332 in FY 13-14 to 10,82,193 units in FY 14-15. Hero Glamour ranked No.10 with a total of 5,51,486 units sold during the year.

Domestic sales by Bajaj Auto Limited fell considerably by -43.9% with 5,52,855 units sold in FY 14-15 as against 9,85,679 units sold in the same period in the earlier fiscal. Bajaj Discover, which was in a 5th spot in the previous fiscal fell to 9th spot while the Bajaj Platina failed to make it to the list of top 10 bikes in FY14-15.
