BharatBenz MD IM-POWER new generation modern Medium Duty Trucks are launched in India.

Set to strengthen its position in a segment dominated by the likes of Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz has introduced a new series of medium duty trucks (MDTs). The company has introduced four models that include 914R, 1214R, 1214RE and 1217C launched in two variants – base and premium.

On sale at company dealerships across the country from today, the trucks under MD IN-POWER range sets new standards in this segment. The entire range will boast of features such as Multi Drive Mode, Payload Advantage, radial tyres, enhanced fuel efficiency and longer service intervals. BharatBenz MTDs sit on radial tyres and get a host of on board driver comforts and conveniences. The new BhartBenz range of MTDs will comply with BSIII, BSIV and Euro V standards and cater to a segment that has seen a surge in demand in recent times.

A notable feature that will set this range of BharatBenz MTDs apart is the Multi Drive Mode which allows driver to optimise the engine settings to either urban traffic conditions or highway trucking at the touch of a button.

Daimler Trucks India has seen a surge in demand over the past year. In 2015 total sales stood at 12,500 units, up 29% as compared to sales in the previous year when only 9,700 units were sold. Ever since sales commenced in India in September 2012, a total of 30,000 BharatBenz trucks have been sold in the country. 2015 also saw the launch of the heavy duty BharatBenz 3143 which caters to the mining and construction sector while exports to over a dozen additional markets were undertaken from the company plant in Chennai.
