BharatBenz Nepal is tenth DICV export market

A BharatBenz Nepal dealership was inaugurated in Birganj. DICV exports are planned for 15 markets, with Nepal being the tenth market for its made in India trucks. Other export markets include Indonesia, Kenya and Tanzania. Trucks for BharatBenz Nepal market will be sold through Omni Trucking dealership.

DICV manufactured trucks at Oragadam being launched for BharatBenz Nepal include 7 models: 914 R, 1214 R, 1217 C, 2523 R, 2523 C, 3123 R, and 4023 T, spanning medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks for varied usage and applications. Developed to meet customer expectations in India, the robust and fuel-efficient truck range meets customer requirements in Nepal.

Erich Nesselhauf, CEO and Managing Director, DICV says upward of 1000 trucks were exported to various markets in 2014. DICV is on target with export plans. BharatBenz Nepal market marks the latest in export business expansion and is befitting keeping in mind similarities between the Indian market and the Nepalese market.

Daimler Trucks Asia, DICV and MFTBC (Mitsubishi Truck and Bus Corporation) are working in sync to harness full sales potential. DICV is focused on the Indian market and countries related to Indian market conditions. MFTBC looks into demand from Asian and African regions for Mitsubishi-Fuso trucks made in Kawasaki and Fuso trucks produced in Oragadam. Markets in Middle East and Latin America will be chosen as export markets.

DICV won HCV Tractor Cargo Carrier of the Year Apollo-CV Award for the BharatBenz 4928 TT reflecting its growing popularity in a segment that moves India. BharatBenz trucks are available in the 9 to 49 tonne range. DICV is preparing for product launches in 2015 to enhance its position to a full-fledged trucks and buses manufacturer. DICV stands in 3rd position in the heavy duty segment in the country.
