Big Dog Motorcycles, the largest manufacturer of custom bikes in the world, has made inroads into the India luxury biking sector. The company is noted for offering luxury custom bikes for the past two decades in global markets and now offers buyers in the country a chance to buy these exclusive bikes, which Big Dog claims are so unique that no two bikes are the same.
Big Dog K9 red Chopper 111 is the company’s first offering in the country. This bike comes in with a whopping price tag of INR 59 lakhs – ex-showroom Delhi.
It is seen powered by an 1807cc, 45 degree V-Twin engine from S&S Superslider mated to a 6 speed transmission. Measuring 10 feet in length, the K9 Red Chopper 111 is offered to owners with an exhaustive list of customization options. The bike will be built as per customer’s specifications with buyers given a choice of a host of design options and accessories to include a range of seats and handle bars besides drag pipes, starter and rotor kits and a varying choice of tyre options. Accessory options also include custom seats, storage bags, grips and windshields.
Big Dog K9 Red Chopper weighs a total of 475 kgs. It gets on board features that include a 250mm rear tyre and 41mm telescopic front forks along with a steel one piece tank. Braking function at both ends is undertaken via 4 piston calipers.
Known as “BigDogIsBack.com”, K9 Red chopper – 111 is ‘One of One’ built under aegis of Kansas Motor Works. It has been brought to India by Samar JS Sodhi, founder of Big Motorcycle Company, who had been striving for years to bring this motorcycle brand to India. He has finally realized his dream and is optimistic that the K9 Red Chopper will attract a range of customers in the country.
