BMW 4 Series concept to replace 3 Series coupe: Photos and Techspecs

BMW revealed the all new 4 Series Coupe, officially. New BMW 4 Series Coupe is a two door concept based on the 3 Series. Publicly, BMW will unveil the 4 Series Concept at the North American International Auto Show also known as the Detroit Auto Show, next year, which is scheduled to take place from 14th to 27th Jan 2013.

The new BMW 4 Series will replace 3 Series coupe. Why give a new name when they already had one, BMW says, they want to differentiate the coupe from the saloon variant, even more prominently. BMW 4 Series Coupe two door is 4,641 mm long, 1,362 mm tall and 1,862 mm wide. Compared to the 3 Series coupe, the new 4 Series is 29 mm longer, 44 mm wider, and 16 mm lower. 4 Series Coupe will feature a 2,850 mm wheelbase, which is 50 mm longer than the model it will be replacing.

Speaking about the comfort and features of 4 Series Coupe Concept, it will be offered with premium leather interiors, and state of the art technologies. Front looks aggressive, thanks to full-LED headlights and the lower fascia. The rear too looks neat and well designed. Overall, the 4 Series offers a lot of luxury.

Nothing has been said about engines that will be featuring with the 4 Series. But, one can expect the same 2.0L in line four and 3.0L inline six turbocharged to feature in the new 4 Series once it is launched.
