BMW G310R instrument cluster detailed in new photos

Revealed last week, BMW G310R is a new motorcycle which will be sold across the globe. Engineered and developed by BMW Motorrad in Munich, G310R will be manufactured at BMW’s Munich plant and in TVS Motor Company’s Bengaluru plant.

Apart from this, it will also be assembled at BMW Thailand / Rayong plant, and at their Manaus plant in Brazil. It is from these four plants the new G310R will be sold in all the major countries of the world.

Powered by a 313 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which is rated at 34 hp (9,500 rpm) and 28 Nm (7,500 rpm), new BMW G310 R has a top speed of 144 kmph. With a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters, BMW claims the mileage stands at 36.05 kmpl. Weighing 158.5 kgs, it has a power to weight ratio of 212.7 bhp/tonne.

To be offered in a choice of three colours, Cosmic Black, Strato Blue Metallic, and Pearl White Metallic, G310 R gets a clear multifunction LCD instrument panel. The display shows following information – engine speed, road speed, gear, total kilometres, engine temperature, fuel tank level, remaining range, average fuel consumption, average speed, time.

Speaking about the wheels, it gets 5-spoke light alloy die-cast wheels (3.0 x 17 inches at front and 4.0 x 17 inches at the rear). Tyres on board the BMW G310R are from Michelin. Front tyre is rated at 110/70 R 17 while rear gets 150/60 R 17. Suspension in the front is in the form of upside down fork while rear gets aluminium swinging arm.

Expected to make India debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February next year, launch will take place later in 2016 at an expected on-road price of under INR 3 lakh.
