BMW G310R price in India could be lower than TVS Apache 310

BMW G310R has been launched in many countries earlier this year. It is exclusively made at the TVS Motor plant in India, and is now going to be launched in coming weeks. Based on the BMW G310R, TVS launched a fully faired motorcycle called the Apache 310 in India.

TVS Apache 310 has been priced at about Rs 2.35 lakh on road. When a reader asked BMW on Facebook, will the G310R be priced lower than the Apache 310 or not, the reply was that it will be priced competitively as the product is aimed at the mass market.

Considering that the BMW G310R comes with lesser features and equipment as compared to the Apache 310, it is most likely going to be priced lower than the Apache 310. Both bikes are produced from the TVS Motor Company plant in Hosur.

BMW G310R is also set for launch in India sometime in early 2018, where it will rival the likes of TVS Apache 310, KTM Duke 390 in terms of price. It will sport upside down forks, a well sculpted fuel tank and massive exhaust (same as Apache 310). Engine is a 313cc, four stroke, liquid cooled, single cylinder unit offering 34 bhp power and 28 Nm torque and mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Fuel efficiency is at 36 kmpl.

BMW G310R is the most affordable BMW motorcycle ever. With the G310R, the company aims to increase their global sales, as well as reach. They will be targeting new customers, most of whom have never been a BMW customer before. International media has already given thumbs up to the made in India G310R, while BMW Motorrad has praised TVS for their manufacturing quality.

All in all, bikers in India get ready for some difficult time in choosing between multiple options on offer in the sub 500 cc segment.
