A BMW Motorrad dealer in the UK, has revealed the official price tag of the upcoming G310R naked motorcycle in an official release. As per the leak, price of BMW G310R will start from £4,290, which equals to about INR 3.88 lakh as per today’s exchange rates.
But considering that UK will be getting made-in-India BMW G310R, the one which is on offer in UK comes with export duty. The one which will be sold in India will be without any such duties, as the bike is produced by TVS Motor Company in Bangalore.
This implies that once launched in India later this year, BMW G310R could come at a price tag of just INR 1.8 lakh, cheaper than rival KTM Duke 390. In the UK, KTM Duke 390 (a made-in-India motorcycle exported by Bajaj), is priced at £4,549 (INR 4.12 lakh). In India, the KTM Duke 390 is available at an on-road price of about 2.15 lakh.
Not only BMW’s first sub 500 cc motorcycle is cheaper than Duke 390, it is also going to be cheaper than Yamaha MT-03 and Kawasaki Ninja Z300, both of which are priced at £4,449 and £4,349 in the UK.
Powered by a liquid cooled single cylinder 313 cc 4 stroke engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox, engine output stands at 34 bhp and 28 Nm torque.
