BMW Group sales across Europe, during the month of March 2013 have reached an all time high. Sales during the month totaled 191,269 units of BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce, far exceeding the 185,741 unit mark in March 2012. The Group’s Q1 sales increased 5.3% totaling 448,200 units over sales in Q1 2012 during which period sales touched 425,543 units.
Best month sales and best quarter sales in the history of BMW Group are what have caused much excitement despite constraints in the auto sector all across Europe. BMW 3 Series received much response while the company has also announced expansion of this range where the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is expected. Global sales of BMW Group during the month of March 2013 stood at 159,195 units with more BMW vehicles sold in a month than ever before. Sales for the year stood at 381,404 units an increase of 7% over 354,562 units sold in the same three month period of the previous year.
Here it was found that the BMW X3 and X5 were more in demand with 36,189 and 27,274 units sold respectively. Sales were overwhelming across US and Chinese markets which have contributed to global sales of BMW Group. The company delivered 86,070 units to Chinese customers which resulted in a 7.6% increase in sales over last year when the company delivered 80,014 units.
