BMW India has actively associated with events and platforms to ensure it’s fleet is seen in all its grandeur at befitting venues. Jodhpur One World Retreat 2015 held last weekend brought together the greatest minds from business, entrepreneurship, the arts, science, entertainment and philanthropy. One world for one cause saw stalwarts meet at the Blue City of Jodhpur. Alongwith dignitaries, BMW took an elaborate sedan fleet, its M cars and the coveted i8 to Umaid Bhavan palace.
This weekend BMW Experience Tour 2015 heads to Jaipur from March 26–29. In focusing on various offerings and segments, BMW brought to life its motorsport expertise at the M Performance Accessories Event at Navnit Motors, Bangalore for enthusiasts to explore innovation through accessories. Earlier in March, BMW Experience Tour 2015 was hosted in Ahmedabad.
BMW Golf Cup International 2015 is underway. The competition was first started in India in 2008. The opening tournament was held in Kochi on 24 January 2015. BMW Golf Cup International 2015 will hold 17 tournaments across India in fourteen cities.The invitation-only event is an amateur golf tournament series for BMW customers. India is one of 42 participating countries participating. In all 100,000 players will compete across 1,000 qualifying tournaments. Winners from each Indian city will compete at the National Final. National winners will compete at the BMW Golf Cup International 2015 World Final.
Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India says amateur golf in India is witnessing progressive development. BMW India dealers identify amateur golfers from BMW owners interested in participating in the tournament being held in accordance to rules of the respective local golf club. BMW India is conducting Golf Clinics conducted by experts in all 14 cities to help participants ease in. BMW dealerships will organise 8-10 clinics per city. BMW Golf Cup International 2015 has three categories, A (for handicaps up to 12), B (for handicaps 13 – 28) and Ladies Category (for handicaps up to 28). The competition has already concluded in Kochi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, and heads to Ahmadabad this weekend.
At the end of February, BMW Experience Tour 2015 stopped over at Surat. Last month, BMW India donned the role of Luxury Mobility Partner at the 51st edition of Hero Indian Open held from 19 – 22 February 2015 at Delhi Golf Club. The four day tournament debuted as co-sanctioned with European Tour this year. Anirban Lahiri won. SSP Chawrasia was the runner up. Top global golfers competed to win prize money worth US$ 1.5 million. Others participating included Miguel Angel JimEnez, Jeev Milkha Singh, Jyoti Randhawa, Shiv Kapur, Thaworn Wiratchant, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rikard Karlberg and Arjun Atwal among others.
Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said Golf is an integral part of sports engagement at BMW Group. The main attraction of the game was the Hole-in-One challenge for an all-new BMW i8. BMW i8 was launched in India on 18 February 2015.
BMW India was mobility partner of India Art Fair 2015. India Art Fair is South Asia’s leading art fair for modern and contemporary art and was held from 29 January – 1 February 2015 at NSIC Exhibition Ground, Okhla, New Delhi. This year, the platform featured 90 Indian and international exhibitors, and about 1100 artists. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India says cultural communication is a long long-standing tradition of BMW Group’s social commitments. BMW India will continue to extend support to this endeavor. A BMW lounge housed the BMW i8 at the art fair.
At the start of the year, BMW Experience Tour 2015 headed to Kolkata, Raipur, and Nagpur. Second edition of BMW Experience Tour in India will travel across 18 cities this year. Philipp von Sahr says BMW Experience Tour provides customers a first-hand experience of vehicle performance in a challenging test track with help from BMW Driving Experts. BMW i8 and BMW M cars will be on display. BMW has also gotten aboard as Luxury Mobility Partner of Delhi International Airport.
