BMW Motorrad India has officially launched the new K 1600 B in India at the 2017 IBW in Goa. Sales commence across the country and it will be brought in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), like its complete range. BMW K 1600 B is priced at INR 29 lakhs and comes in with an eye catching design and a flowing profile.
BMW K 1600 B, B standing for Bagger rceives a chopped windscreen, swooping rear and a bagger silhouette with other on-board features that include new fairings, updated wind deflectors for better wind protection, xenon headlamp, LED indicators and brake lights, heated seat and grips, chrome silencers and multi controller.
The bike also gets electronically controlled Dynamic ESA chassis, riding modes of ‘Rain’, ‘Road’ and ‘Dynamic’, ABS Pro, dynamic brake light and traction control. The 5.7” full color TFT instrument console offers navigation, satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
Standard packages are available on the BMW K 1600 B making it ideal for long distance travel. The Equipment Package includes Shift Assistance Pro, Additional Fog Light with LED technology, Central Locking System and Anti Theft Alarm System. Keyless ride is another feature of this package. Safety Package includes Adaptive Headlight and Daytime Running Light, Hill Start Control and Tyre Pressure Control. Touring Packing consists of Rear Gear and Audio System with GPS device.
Designed for luxury and exclusivity in the touring segment, the new BMW K 1600 B gets the best in terms of suspension, safety, design and comfort. Suspension is via Duolever and Paralever suspension while braking is via dual floating 320 mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a single 320 mm disc at the rear. BMW K 1600 B is powered by a 1,749cc, in-line, six cylinder engine offering 160 bhp power at 7,750 rpm and 175 Nm torque at 5,250 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission.
BMW Motorrad will bring in the new K 1600 B into India as a CBU and orders open at company dealerships with deliveries set to commence in the weeks ahead.
