Though this is great news, it saddens those fans who have been waiting for the G310R. Though BMW Motorrad’s twitter handle had confirmed that the G310R will be launched in India by April, this is not the case. In the official press statement shared by BMW Motorrad India, they have not discussed anything about the G310R’s launch. We expect the G310R to be launched in India by the end of this year, probably during Diwali 2017.

Made in India by TVS Motors, the new G310R is already on sale in some European countries. Though BMW Motorrad has not revealed any reason behind delaying the launch of G310R in India, it could be because of production constraints.

Once launched, G310R will be the most affordable BMW bike on offer with price expected to start in the INR 2 lakh range. Powered by an all new 313 cc, four stroke single cylinder engine generating 34 bhp power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm, via a 6 speed gearbox. Features on offer includes, dual channel ABS, upside down forks, digital instrument control, Michelin tyres, monoshock rear suspension, LED taillights and side blinkers, and much more. The bike has already entered production at the TVS Motor plant in Hosur.
