All new BMW R 1250 R and BMW R 1250 RT have been launched in India today. Both motorcycles are available as completely built-up units (CBU). Bookings are now open at BMW Motorrad dealerships across India. BMW R 1250 R is available at a price of Rs 15,95,000 and BMW R 1250 RT Pro for Rs 22,50,000. All prices are ex-sh.
BMW R 1250 R is available in Black Storm metallic to embody a classic look. Black detailing complements the roadster appeal, including black seating. Front-wheel cover, front spoiler, tank side trim and rear side panels have a subtle body finish matched with inscriptions and passenger seat embossment. In Style Exclusive, R 1250 R highlights all-round roadster qualities matched with trim panel components painted in Pollux metallic matt.
BMW R 1250 RT embodies touring qualities, and is available in Option 719 Blueplanet metallic / Option 719 Sparkling Storm metallic. Detailing revolves around body colour components. Handlebar weights and windshield trim element are finished in chrome. Hand-drawn lines preview the craftsmanship involved. Option 719 is available with a brown seat for BMW R 1250 RT.
Both bikes feature a front spoiler, golden brake calipers, radiator cover and stainless steel tank cover. A 1254cc, 2-cylinder in-line Boxer engine returns max power of 100 kW (136 hp) at 7,750 rpm, and maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm.
BMW R 1250 R and BMW R 1250 RT are available with two riding modes as standard. Safety features include Automatic Stability Control (ASC) for best possible traction, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS Pro) for greater safety when braking, even in banking position, and Hill Start Control for convenient set-off on slopes.
BMW R 1250 RT is offered with seat heating, central locking system, tyre pressure control and anti-theft alarm. Dynamic ESA, preparation for GPS unit, cruise control and Keyless Ride improve on riding convenience. Riding modes Pro, Headlight Pro, Daytime Riding Light and chrome-plated exhaust pipe help accentuate visual appeal, and functionality.
BMW R 1250 R offers the Connectivity feature as standard. This includes a 6.5 inch full-colour TFT screen. BMW Motorrad multi-controller gives the rider quick access to vehicle and connectivity functions. Phone and media functions can be used via Bluetooth connection. BMW R 1250 RT features a 5.7 inch TFT colour screen, supplemented with an analogue speedometer and rev counter.
