2017 BMW S 1000 RR, S 1000 R, S 1000 XR unveiled


BMW Motorrad has unveiled its 2017 edition of its 4 cylinder models at the ongoing Intermot Show.

New BMW S 1000 RR is a supersports offering from BMW Motorrad which gets added features over its current counterpart. The 2017 model gets a single seat with passenger seat cowl thought the passenger seat will be offered as an option at no additional charge.

A new front end is seen on board the S 1000RR while ABS Pro is an option along with Dynamic Traction Control which is offered as standard. BMW S 1000 RR is presented in color options of Racing Red, Light White and BMW Motorsport as on date while new color options include Granite Grey and Blackstorm.


BMW S 1000 R receives an engine tweaked for added power and performance. The power output now stands at 165 PS as against 160 PS seen on its earlier counterpart while overall weight is reduced by 2 kgs thanks to new fairing and frame structure.

BMW S 1000 R also gets light high performance forged wheels which are lower in weight as compared to standard wheels while new color options include Racing Red, Blackstorm, Catalano Grey and BMW Motorsport.


Added engine output is also seen aboard the 2017 BMW S 1000 XR though weight increase is evident from earlier counterpart by 10 kgs. Vibration free handles have been added for better rider comforts while color schemes include Racing Red non-metallic and Lightwhite non-metallic / Granite Grey metallic matte / Racing Red non-metallic and a new Ocean Blue metallic matte.
