Maruti Suzuki India today introduced its Eeco BS6 S-CNG variant
The MPV doesn’t only meet the BS6 mandate that comes into effect at the end of March 2020, but is in line with the company’s ‘Mission Green Million’ initiative. Having first entered the market in January 2010, to date more than 6.7 lakh units of Maruti Suzuki Eeco have been sold in cumulative sales. In the van segment, Eeco MPV commands 87 percent market share. MSIL attributes this to Eeco’s spacious design, and powerful performance.
MSIl has been in the business of selling CNG vehicles for over a decade. Over time, the auto manufacturer has expanded the range widely. Alongwith selling the largest number of vehicles in the domestic market, MSIl has to date already sold one million green vehicles (including CNG, Smart Hybrid vehicles).
