Bugatti is all-set to showcase the replacement of Veyron. Next week, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti will re-write record books when they reveal Chiron, the fastest production car in the world.
Arguably the showstopper of this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti Chiron is expected to be powered by a W16 quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter engine and an electric motor. Together, the power unit is expected to deliver 1,500 hp and 1,500 Nm torque to the wheels. This power and torque will translate into a 0-100 kmph spring in just 2.2 seconds and a top speed of 290 mph or 467 kmph.
Spied with heavy camouflage on many occasions, design of Chiron is inspired from the Vision GT Concept which was revealed last year. This design is a more evolved version of the Veyron, which makes the Chiron more aerodynamic.
Bugatti Chiron production is expected to be set to only 500 units, with just 100 units to be manufactured per year. Bugatti has confirmed that they have already received over 100 bookings. This means that if you want to buy one, you will have to wait for more than 1 year at least.
The price of Bugatti Chiron is expected to start from €2 million ($2.19 million or £1.47 million or INR 15.1 crore), excluding taxes. This means, if there is a buyer in India who wants to buy this beast, he or she will have to shell out about INR 35 crore!
